Since our inception in 1957, we have been dedicated to upholding the highest level of care and attention in every aspect our our production process, ensuring that each item reflects our commitment to excellence.

We work in partnership with retailers, brands, designers and specialists to provide exceptional products made from ethically and responsibly sourced leathers and materials. In partnership with our factory associates, we maintain SEDEX approval and exclusively use leathers endorsed by The Leather Working Group.

Offering a diverse range of both formal and casual belts, all available to stock, alongside our private label and made-to-order services, we have established ourselves as a market leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of belts and accessories in the UK.

Our story

1957

Ibex England is founded in a small workshop and barn in Spratton, Northamptonshire by Peter Foden Lee, initially to manufacture components for the local shoe industry.

Peter Lee notices the potential for quality leather belts during visits to the US and begins developing designs for Ibex England.

In the late 60’s, Ibex England thrives during the fashion boom, leading to the conversion of the original workshop and barn into a modern factory and office building.

1960’s

Ibex England expands its operations, establishing an office in New York. The company operates seven manufacturing units and supplies major retailers in the UK and abroad.

In 1972, Ibex England is granted the Queen’s Award for its success and soon after becomes the sole UK licensee for Pierre Cardin Belts.

1970’s

1980’s

Ibex England merges its operations into one large production unit in Northamptonshire, and expands its collection to include more casual leather belts, braces, and other small leather goods.

In 2014, Oxford Leathercraft purchases Ibex England, integrating the brand into its portfolio, while continuing to uphold Ibex England’s legacy and core values of resilience, agility, and quality.

2010’s

Present

Ibex England continues to design and manufacture quality products, using the same methods and some of the same machinery as in 1957.

Now based in Oxfordshire, Ibex England and has continued to expand its collections and innovation to become a market leader for men’s belts within the UK.

Ibex England recently launched their 2024 collection brochure and continues to work with global brands manufacturing belts and accessories sold and stocked across the globe.
