Ibex England began in 1957, when Peter Foden Lee set up a small workshop in Spratton, Northamptonshire, making components for the local shoe trade. A few years later, travels to the US inspired him to introduce finely made belts to the UK — a move that transformed the business.

By the 1970s, Ibex England was supplying retailers across Britain and overseas, earning the Queen’s Award for Export and becoming the UK’s sole licensee for Pierre Cardin. Through the following decades, our collections grew to include braces and small leather goods, all made with the same commitment to quality.

Today, from our base in the Oxfordshire countryside, we continue to create belts and accessories with the same care and craftsmanship that shaped our beginnings — now collaborating with brands and retailers around the world, and evolving our designs for a new generation.
